Season 17 is coming to a close in Destiny 2, but there are still plenty of activities for players to complete before Season of the Haunted ends. Whether Guardians are just beginning their content in the Witch Queen expansion or have been consistently playing every week, Season of the Haunted has enough content to carry players through to Season 18. Everything at the end of Season 17 will also help prepare players for Season 18, despite the relatively few details about what is next for Destiny 2.
On August 23, the Destiny 2 Showcase 2022 will give details about the next expansion, Lightfall, and perhaps some of the features of Season 18 and Season 19. At this time, Bungie has already revealed that Season 18 will launch with a complete rework of the Arc subclass for Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks, bringing it up to date with the redesign of the Void and Solar subclasses. Furthermore, a reprised raid from Destiny 1 is being added to the game on Friday, August 26. While the name of the Raid has not been revealed, Guardians can likely expect that the Raid entry requirement will be capped at 1550, given that the Vow of the Disciple level cap was 1530 when it was introduced at the beginning of Season 16.

First and foremost, Guardians should attempt to finish their Season of the Haunted weekly challenges to earn the Bright Dust, XP, and other rewards. This late into Season 17, Guardians who cannot participate in Grandmaster Nightfalls because of a low Power Level should be focusing on the challenges that reward Challenger XP+++.
