The fall sports season is nearly here and 2K Sports is giving basketball fans plenty of reasons to look forward to NBA 2K23's release next month. The annual basketball franchise has started to show off plenty about the new game, including improved animations and challenges themed around NBA legend Michael Jordan. Fans have already begun to predict changes for the new game between new ratings and improvements to popular game modes like MyCareer and MyTEAM. Now, the newest NBA trailer gives fans an in-depth look at changes coming to the MyCareer mode.
2K Sports' newest NBA 2K23 trailer shows off a variety of features coming in the franchise's newest iteration with a mix of new game modes, playstyles, and even mechanical changes. 2K23 will bring back MyTEAM's Seasons with new competitive seasons rotating every six weeks with «more ways to progress and earn rewards.» MyTEAM's Unlimited mode will be making significant adjustments to its ranking system, moving to a game-by-game progression system as well as introducing a leaderboard. The highest ranked of Unlimited will also now feature new Prestige tiers with further rewards.

The shifts to MyTEAM's ranking system will also be joined by new ways to play pre-existing game modes. NBA 2K23 will introduce online co-op to MyTEAM's Triple Threat game mode, allowing players to team up with other players online in lobbies of up to six. MyTEAM in NBA 2K23 will also debut a single-player variant to the popular fast-paced Clutch Time game mode, allowing players to play Clutch Time offline for the first time. MyTEAM will also introduce weekly limited challenges called «Eras» with team-building restrictions.
