The official Deep Water trailer arrives revealing Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas' complicated marriage and its gradual unraveling. Based on Patricia Highsmith's 1957 novel of the same name, the psychological thriller centers on Vic and Melinda Van Allen, a married couple who seem to be falling out of love and begin playing deadly mind games against one another in an effort to keep the spice in their marriage. However, when their games begin seeing those around them die and sees the two testing each other in increasingly worse fashion, their marriage may not be the only thing at stake.
Alongside Affleck and de Armas, the cast for Deep Water includes Tracy Letts, Rachel Blanchard, Lil Rel Howery, Finn Wittrock, Jacob Elordi, Dash Mihok and Kristen Connolly. Development on the film has languished for nearly a decade with Fatal Attraction's Adrian Lyne signing on to direct in 2013 before finally gaining steam in 2019 as Affleck and de Armas signed on to star and Disney acquired the rights to the project for 20th Century Studios. After multiple COVID-related delays, Deep Water is gearing up to hit Hulu this month.
