When No Time To Die was released it became another successful installment in the James Bond franchise, but some critics say the movie missed a trick with regards to Ana De Armas’ role. After the movie was delayed multiple times throughout 2020 and 2021, audiences were eager to see what was next for Bond. Although many of the characters were familiar, there was one new actor, Ana De Armas, who made a lasting impression.
The long-awaited No Time To Die saw Bond return to face another enemy, Lyutsifer Safin, in possession of a government-developed bio-weapon. Bond’s mission takes him to Cuba where he is aided by another agent going by the name of Paloma. Paloma, played by Ana De Armas, is a CIA operative who claims she is on her first job out of training. Together they infiltrate a SPECTRE gathering before the meeting takes a turn for the worst and they have to fight their way out. Ana De Armas has been praised for her part in the movie, and critics have questioned why she did not feature for longer, hailing it as a mistake.

Not only did De Armas put in an incredible performance, but her recent post on Instagram displays how hard she worked to perfect the physical side of the role. The video, which shows De Armas training to perform her own stunts, illustrates the commitment she had to the character and it paid off in the final cut. The scene she is seen practicing involved Paloma disarming multiple henchmen, and displayed the skills De Armas had honed prior to filming.
