Halo Infinite is a title that has now established itself and sustained a reasonably favorable critical reception. Competitively launching alongside other industry giants such as Battlefield 2042 and Call of Duty: Vanguard, the latest iteration of the space-shooter franchise seems to stand a cut above its competition in terms of immediate legacy and positive buzz, although that is not to say it is without criticism.
Although it is true that Halo Infinite has been lauded for its ambitious open-world campaign and free-to-play multiplayer, it must be said that the latter has taken a while to significantly resonate with fans and provide that classic Halo multiplayer experience with a good variety of content. With the title always striving to reach these heights, the implementation of new game modes with the periodic arrival of seasonal multiplayer updates is the perfect way to do so.
Rumor: Halo Infinite's 'Tatanka' Battle Royale Started Development In 2020
One of the new game modes launching with Season 2 of Halo Infinite's multiplayer mode is that of King of the Hill. Many fans are excited to finally be able to play this staple on Halo Infinite, though some would have perhaps expected it to have been a part of the game's modes-roster at launch.
King of the Hill for Halo Infinite will act in a fairly conventional manner. It is known that King of the Hill will see a neutral capture point appear somewhere on the map, which will begin earning one point per second towards a capture progress bar once a member of a team is standing within the capture point boundaries. Once this progress bar is fully completed, the capturing team will earn one point on the scoreboard, and a new capture point will appear somewhere else on the map.
