While it’s not a full-fledged remake (at least according to Capcom), the development team is going all out with Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. On top of Classic and Standard control options, there’s a new fast-forward feature, per IGN’s hands-on preview.
Dead Rising plays out over 72 in-game hours, with different cases popping up throughout. Depending on whether you solve them all and fulfill other conditions, you can unlock an ending and continue the story into Overtime mode. The new fast-forward feature allows for jumping ahead in time (with multiple options seemingly available).
It’s available at save locations, and though you’ll miss out on the side content, the option is ideal for those who want to focus on the main story. If you seek the true ending, however, you’ll need to work for it.
Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster launches on September 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Head here for more details on what to expect. You can also watch some extended gameplay here.
