Dead by Daylight is essentially the logical endpoint of horror movie crossovers. Behaviour Interactive’s multiplayer survival horror game lets players take control of iconic Survivors and Killers from franchises like Halloween, Saw, Nightmare on Elm Street, Evil Dead, Silent Hill, Left 4 Dead, Stranger Things, and more.
Behaviour Interactive rolled out patch 5.6.2 on Tuesday morning, with the full patch notes available on the Dead by Daylight forums. It resolved 19 separate issues, though a few were specific to certain platforms or storefronts. These include the above-mentioned crashes when Switch players equipped Yoichi Asakawa’s Boon: Dark Theory perk. The patch also resolved an issue where the game wouldn’t unlock PS4 trophies added by the latest DLC. It additionally repaired a glitch that made certain cosmetic items free on the Epic Game Store version of Dead by Daylight.

The other changes apply to all versions of Dead by Daylight. For example, one fixed bug prevented players from purchasing discounted items, while another resolved a problem where the game let players buy the same perk multiple times. The remaining patches are much more specific, relating to individual characters or locations. Most were minor audio or graphical glitches, though few were more substantial.
Most of the latter related to the recent Sadako Rising DLC. One glitch caused the game to crash when players entered the area of effect for the above-mentioned Dark Theory Perk.
