Dead by Daylight is no stranger to crossovers with other horror properties, both within video games and outside of them. Resident Evil is one of the most popular survival horror game franchises, and earlier this year a teaser posted on the Dead by Daylight Twitter account revealed that the two games would soon have another crossover project. Dead by Daylight: Resident Evil: PROJECT W is the latest chapter of the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game, and it brings some exciting new content with it.
Dead by Daylight: Resident Evil: PROJECT W is available to play now, with two new survivors, Albert Wesker as a killer, new outfits, and a reworked Raccoon City Police Department map. An official press release reads: “Starting today, players can step into the Fog as Albert Wesker, Ada Wong and Rebecca Chambers as the highly anticipated second installment of the Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil partnership takes flight.” Some of the new outfits include “Carlos Oliveira, Sheva Alomar, and Hunk Legendary Sets for Leon S. Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and The Legion, respectively.”
Resident Evil was previously in Dead by Daylight last year with a chapter that included Jill Valentine, Leon S. Kennedy, and Nemesis. Dave Richard, creative director of Dead by Daylight, stated that Project W is important, as “it is the first time we are creating a second Chapter in the same licensed universe.”
The Raccoon City Police Department map originally released with the previous Resident Evil crossover last year, but it has undergone a rework after player feedback.
