Dead by Daylight's latest update marks the launch of the game's 25th chapter, Resident Evil: Project W, which includes a new killer and survivors from the Resident Evil franchise. Dead by Daylight's 6.2.0 update also includes a number of new features for streamers, makes improvements to the HUD, and implements dozens of bug fixes.
The Resident Evil: Project W chapter is now available for Dead by Daylight players on PC and consoles for $11.99 USD, discounted to $10.79 USD for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Along with the paidResident Evil-themed content with the new chapter are many improvements to the base game thanks to the 6.2.0 update. New streamer options for PC are aimed at reducing harassment and targeting of streamers, including an Anonymous Mode which replaces the account name with the selected character name, the ability to hide one's name and the names of other players from appearing on-screen, and a short, random delay to the matchmaking queue to prevent targeted in-game harassment.

The main attraction, of course, is the Resident Evil: Project W chapter. Players who purchase the chapter gain access to several iconic characters from the Resident Evil franchise with new perks and unique playstyles.
