The first chapter of the next Dungeons & Dragons adventure anthology is now available online, as fans can read the opening of Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel for free on D&D Beyond. Like Tales from the Yawning Portal and Candlekeep Mysteries, Journeys Through the Radiant Citadel offers standalone adventures for groups to use, all of which are tied to the mysterious citadel.
The Radiant Citadel resides within the Ethereal Plane of the D&D multiverse, which is wrapped around the prime material plane, where most D&D campaigns take place. From a distance, the Radiant Citadel resembles a massive cityscape built around a colossal diamond. The location of the Radiant Citadel means that it acts as a hub for traders and travelers from across the multiverse, while also providing access to different planes. In many ways, the Radiant Citadel resembles the city of Sigil from the Planescape campaign setting, though Sigil is a more dangerous place, seeing as it's the hub of the multiverse, and draws characters from all of the planes, including the domains of demons and devils.
