Elden Ring, like other Soulsborne RPGs, has quite the dark setting. The Lands Between are host to all sorts of monsters, including beasts that fall from the stars and dogs that can prove to be more irritating than even the bosses of the game. Elden Ring's world and lore was partly designed by Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin, so fans were expecting quite the dark setting when they first stepped foot in the Lands Between. However, not every Elden Ring player has interpreted the game's setting as being so dark.
One fan even believes that Elden Ring can offer quite the cute experience when combined with a more wholesome game franchise, that is. Specifically, one artist on Twitter decided to create «Elden Crossing,» which marks the unexpected crossover between Animal Crossing and Elden Ring. The art does not feature Animal Crossing characters in their quest to become Elden Lord, and instead shows what the NPCs of Elden Ring would look like with a cuter coat of paint.

Notable Elden Ring NPCs can be found all over the «Elden Crossing» artwork, with Sorcerer Rogier being one character than fans took a particular interest in. As Rogier is a polite character in Elden Ring anyway, many found his cute alter ego to fit the character well. Of course, Ranni the Witch is also present, but perhaps Elden Ring's most famous NPC takes more of a background role in this artwork, as she can be spotted in the top left corner.
Unfortunately, there wasn't space for every Elden Ring NPC to make it into the artwork. Fia, for example, can't be found in the artwork, and neither can Dung Eater, despite these two characters being popular to Elden Ring players. The artist did state that
