New exclusive images from Wes Craven's unreleased Director's Cut of the film Cursed reveal a look at Skeet Ulrich's cut role. Cursed came after the massive success of the original Scream trilogy and reunited Craven and writer Kevin Williamson as they attempted to do for the monster movie what Scream had done for the slasher. The film follows a werewolf loose in Los Angeles and the three unsuspecting people who are mauled by it, after which they learn the only way to avoid becoming werewolves themselves is to hunt down and kill the monster. The film was released in 2005 and stars Christina Ricci, Jesse Eisenberg, and Joshua Jackson.
Cursed never got the chance to be what its predecessor Scream became. The studio intervened heavily, calling for extensive reshoots and story changes. This resulted in multiple cuts of the film, and the release of a version completely different from the original shooting script. One such reshoot involved axing a main character played by Scream's own Ulrich. The actor participated in the initial filming, but when reshoots were demanded, he did not return. Ulrich's character was then written out and replaced with Jackson's. Craven's original cut of Cursed has never seen the light of day, though that has not stopped viewers from begging for it since the theatrical release.
