Cosmic Flux on Patch 9.2 PTR - Drop Amounts in Zereth Mortis, Costs to Upgrade Legendaries

The new Legendary upgrade currency, Cosmic Flux, drops from Zereth Mortis and most end-game activities in Patch 9.2. The currency has finally been implemented on the latest PTR build, allowing to see how much we get per week. On this post, we go through the currently known sources and amounts used to upgrade legendaries! Remember that this is on the PTR and the drop rate or the costs may change at any time.

Cosmic Flux Sources

Cosmic Flux can be obtained from most end-game activities and in Zereth Mortis.

Most activities in Zereth Mortis award Cosmic Flux, making the zone the best source to farm.

Repeatable Treasures: 12 Cosmic Flux Rare Mobs: 50 to 75 Cosmic Flux, depending on rare mob health Daily Quests: 75 Cosmic Flux Daily Treasures (Sandworn Chest, Locked Provis Cache, Prying Eye Discovery): 75 Cosmic Flux Weekly Quest Patterns Within Patterns: 150 Cosmic FluxNote: Currently on the 9.2 PTR, this quest appears to be bi-weekly, spawning on Wednesday and Saturday resets.

Cosmic Flux from Torghast

Cosmic Flux drops from Layers 13 through 16 in Torghast. The below amounts are the rewards for completing each new layer. If you complete Layer 16, remember that you'll get all the rewards from lower layers, totaling 1150 Soul Ash, 470 Soul Cinders and 100 Cosmic Flux per Layer 16 clear.
