The upcoming Silent Hill 2 sounds increasingly appealing, with the revelation that original composer Akira Yamaoka remade the original soundtrack for Bloober Team's remake, adding some all-new tracks this time. Silent Hill 2 will wander PS5's fog-filled streets from 8th October.
Observed by GamesRadar+ on X, Yamaoka remarked on the experience of returning to the iconic, eerie soundtrack after 25 years. With each piece remade to match the stunning-looking game, Yamaoka notes that the updated track list, which includes some entirely new music, reflects his growth as an artist, «challenging me like never before.»
Released for the PS2 back in 2001, Bloober Team's remake will be quite a bit longer than the seminal original. This is quite surprising, as, after a fairly rough first showing, Silent Hill 2 is shaping up to be a graphically demanding game and potentially something of a showcase for PS5. Not much longer now until we can all return to that special place.
For me, it's always like this
You always were so forgetful
