CHARTS: COD Modern Warfare 2 pre-orders shoot to second place

Pre-orders for the latest entry in the Call of Duty series have shot up the Steam charts this wek.

These have risen from fifth place last week to the No.2 spot this week, while another edition of the game has come up to fourth. That's ahead of Modern Warfare 2's release on October 28th, and follows in preview footage showing the game off being published.

The Top Spot once again goes to Valve's Steam Deck hardware, while Atlus' Persona 5 Royal has made its debut in third place. That follows the game's initial PlayStation Western launch back in 2017 and the release of the expanded Royal edition in 2020.

In fifth place is the latest DLC for Rimworld, Biotech, which made its debut on October 21st. while pre-orders for Football Manager 2023 clocked in at sixth. That latter title is set to release on November 8th.

Sony's latest first-party PC release, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, debuted in seventh place. This package includes 2016's A Thief's End and 2017's The Lost Legacy, both of which launched on PlayStation 4. It's the latest title that Sony has rolled out on PC following Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Days Gone and Marvel's Spider-Man.

Gotham Knights from Warner Bros, a superhero action romp that stars Batman's sidekicks, debuts at No.8 and No.10, despite the game launching to pretty lukewarm reviews.

In at No.9 is Red Dead Redemption 2.
