Pre-orders for the eagerly-anticipated Cities: Skylines 2 were the third biggest seller on Steam last week.
The title from developer Colossal Order and Paradox Interactive is set to launch today (Tuesday, October 24th). Its predecessor, 2015's Cities: Skylines, has shifted more than 12 million copies to date and has been wildly popular, especially with its PC audience.
The top spot once again goes to Counter-Strike 2 – which we very much expect ill be there for the foreseeable future – while Apex Legends returns to the charts in second place thanks to the recently-released Doppelgangers Collection event and new game mode. Fellow Electronic Arts title EA Sports FC 24 hangs steady in fourth place, as does Baldur's Gate 3 in fifth.
Call of Duty drops from second to sixth week-on-week following the end of the beta for the upcoming Modern Warfare 3. Diablo 4 makes its debut on Steam in seventh place having released onto the platform on October 17th. Blizzard's action RPG was initially released on console and the company's own Battle.net service in June of this year.
Pre-orders for Football Manager 2024 came in eighth place, shooting up from No.51 last week ahead of the game's release on November 6th. Folks who pre-ordered receive early access to the game from today, which has no doubt helped boost sales.
Battlefield 2042 drops three places to No.9 week-on-week, while Euro Truck Simulator 2 returns to the Top Ten at the No.10 spot thanks to a slew of discounts, including a massive 75 per cent price cut on the base game.
