New smartphone apps are created all the time, and recently, an app called 'Chai' has exploded as one of the most popular ones around. When talking about smartphones, much of the conversation often revolves around their specs. People want to know how bright a display is, how fast certain processors are, and how long batteries last. While these are all important, these are just components that fade in the background when using your phone. And when you're on your phone, chances are you're using some kind of app.
There are the big apps everyone uses — including Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, Snapchat, etc. But there are also smaller ones that seem to come out of nowhere and catch the world by storm. As for what the app is, it's essentially a place to have text conversations with AI chatbots (Chai = chat + AI). AI chatbots aren't anything new, but as artificial intelligence becomes more advanced and accessible, it's not surprising to see one of these apps get so much buzz. At the time of publication, Chai is the #15 Entertainment app on Apple's App Store — making it more popular than YouTube TV, the Xbox and PlayStation apps, Funimation, and others.
