Steve Rogers' time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe might be over, meaning one of Captain America's secret powers from the comics will never be seen in live-action. In the pages of Marvel Comics, the shield-bearing hero actually had the ability to master practically any weapon and fighting style in a matter of seconds. While Captain America ended up wielding one of the most powerful weapons in existence in Mjolnir in the MCU, he never quite reached the same potential.
Captain America has a range of powers from taking the Super-Soldier Serum transforming him into a mighty hero, including super strength, durability, speed, and reflexes. On top of the enhanced abilities, Steve Rogers also was granted a healing factor and decelerated aging, which increased his longevity and prowess on the battlefield. But, one of Captain America's secret powers in the comics never made its way to the MCU, as the longtime Avengers' mastery of weapons was never shown to its full extent in his live-action appearances.

On multiple occasions, Captain America's secret ability to master any weapon in a matter of seconds was showcased in different Marvel Comics stories starring the hero. For example, in Avengers #53 by Warren Ellis, Jamie McKelvie, Matthew Wilson, and Dave Lanphear, Beast reveals to Moon Knight that Captain America can literally «master any weapon in seconds,» referring to his incredible power to adapt to any weapon given to him.
The comment might seem random, but Captain America's secret power to master any weapon given to him was mentioned years before in Avengers #53 by Kurt Busiek, Kieron Dwyer, Rick Remender, Tom Smith, and Richard Starkings. In the issue,
