Some of Capcom's biggest digital releases on Nintendo platforms have gotten a major discount mere weeks before some of these games will no longer be available to purchase digitally. This sale has launched on the same day as the Capcom Spotlight livestream event in which fans will learn more about upcoming games in key Capcom franchises.
Capcom is best known for developing and publishing some of the biggest Japanese game franchises such asResident Evil, Street Fighter, Devil May Cry, and Mega Man. Many Capcom franchises have strong histories on Nintendo platforms, some major examples being the Ace Attorney and Monster Hunter series which were prominent on the Nintendo DS and 3DS, respectively. The impending closure of the 3DS eShop has many acting fast to own these exclusive games before they can no longer be acquired through official means.

Capcom seems to have acknowledged this by announcing a massive sale on its catalog of games on both 3DS and Switch. This sale includes discounts of up to 90% on prominent 3DS games such as Monster Hunter 3 and 4 Ultimate, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, and the 3DS port of Super Street Fighter 4. A major highlight of this sale is that nearly every Ace Attorney game released on the 3DS is currently on sale for $3 each. Although this sale will last until March 29, the 3DS eShop closes on March 27, so these 3DS discounts will only be available until then.
This sale also extends to a number of digital Nintendo Switch games including strong discounts of up to 60% on the first three Devil May Cry games, compilations like Mega Man X Legacy Collection, and multiple Monster Hunter titles including the Deluxe
