Japanese publishing giant has opened a brand new studio in Osaka.
The news was unveiled in a post on the company's investor relations portal, in which the firm said that this new facility – imaginatively named Capcom Creative Studio – boasts two motion capture studios fitted with 150 cameras. Capcom says it will be able to conduct mocap with up to ten actors at a time. This motion capture can also apparently be coordinated with the company's game dev environment.
One part of the new Creative Studio – Studio L – opened on March 13th, while the second – Studio M – is set to open its doors on April 17th.
"By completing this facility and establishing a system of three motion capture studios in total, Capcom continues to promote ever greater efficiency in game development while working to create the world’s best content," the company wrote.
This comes in the wake of fellow Japanese publisher Konami also opening a studio in Osaka.
