Call of Duty: Warzone players have not been particularly fond of the Caldera map since it released. Some Call of Duty: Warzone players have speculated that the volcanic island themed map could experience a rather drastic change at the end of the current season, which may, hopefully, implement some positive changes.
One Call of Duty: Warzone fan discovered that a Caldera can be defined as a large depression that is formed when a volcano erupts and collapses. This may possibly allude to the notion that the Caldera map could experience a volcanic eruption that could drastically change the layout and locations of the map.

Call of Duty: Warzone would not be the first battle royale game to change its map after a season-ending volcanic eruption. Back in 2019, Fortnite had a volcanic eruption event that ended up changing two of the map's main locations. Many players seem to think that Caldera could benefit from a similar event, as this would give Raven Software the opportunity to change the map as it sees fit.
Call of Duty: Warzone players have been complaining about Caldera for a while. The main issue Call of Duty: Warzone players have with Caldera is the noticeable lack of points of interest on the map when compared to the previous map, Verdansk. Caldera only has 15 named locations, whereas Verdansk had 22. A volcanic eruption could allow Raven Software to make new unique locations where players can gather loot and drop.
Another change players would like to see in the new season of Call of Duty: Warzone is a cash drop buff. Players noticed that cash drops were significantly nerfed on Caldera after the game's February 3 update. Raven Software mentioned
