Call Of Duty Season 2 Brings Double XP As Thanks Following Delay

Call of Duty players will have the chance to earn twice as much XP in matches this weekend as a consolation from Activision owing to a delayed update. This special bonus is just one of many perks and limited-time events that the legendary FPS franchise has offered over the years as it has shifted more and more towards a live-service model.
The Call of Duty of today looks a little bit different from the Call of Duty that gamers might remember from years ago. Aside from its oscillating between different time periods and tones, the franchise is much more focused on delivering expansive, evolving live-service content to its consumer base through a seasonal model similar to other leading free-to-play games like Fortnite. With the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard this past fall, the series restarted its season count, and Season 2 of Warzone Pacific and Vanguard just went live a few days ago. While this long-awaited update has brought with it a good deal of content, its launch was delayed so that the development team could issue a series of bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements to Vanguard, Warzone, and Black Ops Cold War.
