At the Call of Duty Next showcase event, Activision revealed the inclusion of cooperative Raids into Modern Warfare 2. With only a few weeks left until October, Activision and Infinity Ward are gearing up for the launch of the highly anticipated Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Already, the company has offered brief details on the upcoming game, even showing off parts of the reworked Dark Waters single player mission for Modern Warfare 2, where players infiltrate an oil rig with a worsening storm rocking things around.
However, after numerous trailers and news posts, today offered fans the biggest look at the next game through the Call of Duty Next Showcase Event. As promised by Activision, players got to see all kinds of new content including the full Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer reveal, what's next for Warzone, as well as live gameplay from top streamers like Ninja, TimTheTatman, and more. However, the event began with a pretty big announcement from Studio Head and Franchise Creative Director Patrick Kelly.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Reveals Open Beta Rewards
At the start of the showcase, Kelly started off by commenting on the studio's desire to improve and innovate on «every area of the game» before going into specifics like a dedicated third-person perspective option, Battle Royale, DMZ, and more. Kelly then went on to detail upcoming content once Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 launches in full, which not only includes the arrival of Warzone 2.0, but following that will be the first ever Raid.
