Activision took to Gamescom Opening Night Live to showcase a story video showing a playthrough of the. While the video showed nearly seven minutes of footage, the Call of Duty team did say that the video is a truncated version of the mission and the full mission will be much longer.
The Most Wanted campaign level begins as a Black Ops team made up of “Case”, Troy Marshall, Felix Neumann, and Sevati “Sev” Dumas converge on Capitol Station in Washington D.C. The aim is to infiltrate the political fundraiser, obtain retinal identification from a senator who has the clearance to enter a CIA Black Site hidden below the building, and retrieve wildcard operative Russell Adler from inside.
The mission offers players a range of choices throughout. The first of those is to find a way to get close enough to the senator to complete the retinal scan. There are three options and there’s a brief look at all of them:
Once the scan has been obtained, the team enters the Black Site, but then things go south extremely quickly. Thanks to a mysterious organization known as Pantheon, Black Site has been compromised. Now players have to choose whether they want to continue the infiltration “loud” or “quiet.”
To avoid spoilers, the video skips straight to interrogation Room 4 where Adler is being held. Of course, reaching the exit isn’t going to be easy either. There’s a battle with a juggernaut brandishing a machine gun before the action skips to an elevator bank. That plan fails with explosive consequences. After fighting their way to the banquet hall, the team learns the building is surrounded and they need to improvise.
The video finally skips to escaping through the entrance on dirt bikes. Pursued by Pantheon and the police, we don’t get to find out if the team manages to make it to safety. That, apparently, is up to players.
