A parody trailer for A Star is Bornreplaces Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga for Muppets. The Muppets have been around since the mid-60s when they first appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show, but the story of A Star is Born is even older. The first movie was released in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March before getting remade in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason. The story would hit the big screens two more times, starring Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson in 1976 and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper in 2018.
Despite following the same story as its predecessors, the newest A Star is Born was well-received upon release. At the 2019 Oscars, A Star is Born won Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song) and was also nominated for seven other awards. By 2018, Cooper was already a well-known actor starring in films like The Hangover, Silver Linings Playbook, and American Sniper while also having been nominated for several Academy Awards. A Star Is Born was a big movie for Cooper's career since it marked his directorial debut, but it was significant for Lady Gaga as well since it was her first movie in a starring role.

The newest version of A Star is Born no doubt benefited by Cooper and Lady Gaga's talents, but a fan parody from Kevin T. Porter has reimagined it starring The Muppets instead. The trailer uses the audio from A Star is Born's trailer and combines it with clips from previous Muppets movies and TV episodes starring Kermit and Miss Piggy.
