Over the past three years, Borderlands 3 has been celebrating Valentine’s Day with its special Broken Hearts Day in-game event and challenge, awarding players with exclusive weapons and cosmetics for their Vault Hunters. This Borderlands 3 event is usually celebrated by completing event-related challenges independently or cooperatively. These challenges are usually related to what the Borderlands series is best known for, shooting and looting.
Broken Hearts Day event began for a limited time in 2020, after the release of Borderlands 3 in 2019. The past events mostly awarded players with a larger variety of cosmetics revolving around the theme of Valentine’s Day. These cosmetics are usually skins for characters, devices, and weapons. This year awards a single, yet impressive, collectible Gray Matter Vault Hunter Head.
