It's been revealed The Pokémon Company will be making announcements about its existing games and projects, in the run-up to Pokémon Day on February 27. Pokémon Day marks the anniversary of the release of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan, and it has since turned into a major event for the franchise.
Nintendo fans have noticed that Pokémon content generally doesn't appear during Nintendo Directs. This is because The Pokémon Company holds its own Pokémon Directs and special events throughout the year, which include mobile titles and multimedia projects. The Nintendo Switch has received a glut of new Pokémon gamesover the past few months, in the form of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and Pokémon Legends: Arceus, so fans are curious about what will be announced for the system over the next 12 months. A lot of people are expecting Gen 9 news on Pokémon Day, or announcements regarding DLC for Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
