Bob Odenkirk reflects on Better Call Saul coming to an end, saying it «hasn't hit» him yet that the Breaking Bad prequel is wrapping up. Odenkirk first brought the titular character to life in Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould's acclaimed crime drama series as lawyer Saul Goodman who works with the criminal underworld in New Mexico to defend various clients, including meth cooks Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. However, when his relationship with the two blows up, Saul must set up a new life as Gene Takavic, the manager of a Cinnabon in Omaha, Nebraska.
Created by Gilligan and Gould, Better Call Saul explores the character's origins as Jimmy McGill, a former scam artist struggling to make a name for himself in the world of law and get out from under his brother's shadow. With obstacles presented at every corner, Jimmy slowly but surely moves away from his goals of being a respectable lawyer to the flamboyant defense attorney audiences first fell in love with in Breaking Bad. After five acclaimed seasons, Better Call Saul is coming to a close with season 6 and the man at the center of it all is looking back on his time with the role.
