Better Call Saul season 6 contains much bigger surprises than Walter White and Jesse Pinkman's returns, according to co-creator Peter Gould. The famous crystal meth-cooking duo portrayed by Emmy-winners Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul navigated the dangers of Albuquerque's criminal underworld for 5 seasons of AMC's prestige crime drama Breaking Bad. In season 2, Walt and Jesse stumbled into the law offices of the sleazy fan-favorite lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk). Since his prequel, Better Call Saul, premiered in 2015, audiences have expected the duo to return.
Walt and Jesse's returns will finally happen in the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul, as previously announced by Gould. After a two-year hiatus caused by the pandemic and Odenkirk's heart attack, Better Call Saul returned to small screens last night on April 18. The two-episode premiere picked up right where the season 5 finale left off with Nacho (Michael Mando) on the run after the failed assassination attempt against Lalo (Tony Dalton). Meanwhile, Gus (Giancarlo Esposito) and his right-hand man Mike (Jonathan Banks) attempt to save face, while Jimmy and Kim (Rhea Seehorn) move forward with their plans to sabotage Howard (Patrick Fabian).
