It seems that TERA isn’t just shutting down in Japan. After Japanese publisher Game On Co. announced it would shut down the game’s Japanese servers on April 20, worldwide publisher Gameforge announced it too would shut down its servers in June on the very same day.
"Unfortunately, we come bearing bad news: TERA’s developers, Bluehole, have decided to cease work on TERA. After much consideration, the team in South Korea have come to the conclusion that they are no longer able to offer you the exciting and satisfying content you deserve," Gameforge wrote on its website. "As the last remaining publisher of TERA, it is with a heavy heart that we must respect Bluehole’s decision, and will also have to shut down the game."

TERA’s servers will continue running until June 30 at 10 AM CEST (4 AM ET), at which point the game goes dark forever. No refunds for any in-game currency will be provided, but TERA Club subscribers can seek a partial refund on their annual subscriptions by contacting the payment support team. All forums, social channels, and related game sites will be shut down on June 30 as well.
Gameforge promised to host some permanent in-game events prior to the game’s deletion. For more information, you can check out the FAQ page here.
