The first version of the Bloodborne Upgraded Texture pack is now available for download, improving the game's visuals in a specific location.
The pack, which was created by well-known Souls series modder Fromsoftwserve, introduces 2x upscaled textures for the Hunter's Dream, the game's main hub. Due to emulation still being far from perfect, these textures are likely to impact performance, but their release is still welcome, as they are the first step in the creation of a fan-made remaster with improved visuals and possibly performance. You can download the texture pack from Nexus Mods.
While modders are working to improve Bloodborne and provide a better experience than on PlayStation 4, the game's emulation is continuing to make steady progress. As seen in a video shared by BrutalSam a few days ago, things are progressing steadily, and the game runs surprisingly well in several locations without using reshade, and FPS boost hacks, which increase the game's framerate by removing visual elements.
Considering the ShadPS4 emulator could only boot Bloodborne a few weeks ago, the progress emulation has been making is astounding. Hopefully, it won't take much longer for the game to be fully emulated so that it can be enjoyed with better visuals and performance.
