FromSoftware’s latest game, Elden Ring, is currently all the rage. Day in and day out, players are discussing boss strategies, discovering hidden secrets, and perfecting their build. Elden Ring invasions are even quite a bit of fun, and so it’s understandable thatElden Ring has dominated so many conversations—to this day.
But part of this is the huge legacy it inherited and the pedigree of its developer, FromSoftware. With games like Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls, FromSoftware made a name for itself—even if some of the earliest titles were considered “niche.” But this led to the invention of a new genre, the Soulslike, and FromSoft would continue innovating on its own formula with games like Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and of course, Elden Ring.

While Elden Ring is the focal piece today, it’s always worth looking back and celebrating. Bloodborne released on March 24, 2015, meaning it is officially 7 years old today. Even factoring in Elden Ring, one could reasonably support the argument that Bloodborne is one of the most popular FromSoft games. Indeed, of all the titles in FromSoft’s catalog, Bloodborne still has the most rumors about it cropping up all the time.
Namely, all of it rumors tend to revolve around either a Bloodborne remaster, a PC port, and/or a proper sequel in Bloodborne 2 on PS5. It seems every year these rumors crop up, sometimes from reliable insiders but oftentimes from some anonymous internet user trying to stir it up again. It’s partly because of how badly fans want one or all of this, which really speaks to the game’s popularity.
