Black Panther: Wakanda Forever actress Dominique Thorne, the MCU's new Ironheart, confirms she has wrapped on the movie. Currently slated to premiere in November, Wakanda Forever is the highly-anticipated sequel to 2018's blockbuster smash Black Panther. Ryan Coogler returns as director, while the cast is largely filled out by supporting players from the first film like Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, and Angela Bassett. Sadly, Black Panther 2 will arrive without its leading man Chadwick Boseman, who passed away in 2020.
Plot details for Black Panther 2 are still being kept closely under wraps. There have been numerous fan theories about the various characters and storylines that could be included within the film, but Marvel has been tight-lipped about everything. In terms of the new names that have been added to the MCU, Michaela Coel boarded Black Panther 2 last summer in an undisclosed role. Additionally, Thorne makes her debut as Riri Williams, aka Ironheart, in the film; she will later star in her own Disney+ show, though it isn't yet clear when that will premiere.
