Black Desert Online's new expansion has officially been released, giving players access to Land of the Light: Seoul, with the first expansion being hugely popular among BDO fans, receiving a score of 80 on Metacritic. This sequel expansion gives players access to new storylines, boss fights, and adventures set in the stunning backdrop of medieval Seoul in Korea.

Black Desert Online's new expansion takes players on a journey through historically significant locations inspired by Korea's Joseon Dynasty. These areas include the Gyeongbokgung Palace, Hanyang Yukjo Street, and Gyeonghoeru Pavillion. By exploring the new area, players will be able to uncover complex storylines that will lead them to make game-changing decisions.
As of today, the maintenance for Black Desert Online's new expansion has been completed, and players will be able to access the new region- Hwanghae. Hwanghae is home to resource-rich areas such as Mount Assisan, Byeoli Forest, and Motgol Village, as well as eight unique quest lines for players to complete that are inspired by Korean folklore. By completing these quest lines, players will interact with peculiar creatures, mythical enemies, and legendary heroes, all of which come with multiple endings depending on how you make a decision.
In total, six mythical bosses are inspired by Korean folklore, including the immortal Bulgasal, who is a guardian of a fallen nation and Uturi, an opponent sent forth from the Martial God Tournament of Seoryeonbang.
