Experiment 101’s Biomutant did not see the most positive reception when it launched last year. Reviewers praised the game’s graphics and world design but found the gameplay underwhelming and full of missed potential.

Reddit user the_andshrew discovered the leak and shared it on the GamingLeaksAndRumors subreddit. According to the Reddit user, developers have already published the PlayStation 5 version of Biomutant on the PlayStation Network backend. Developer THQ Nordic announced last year that Biomutant is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, but there have not been any updates since the game’s underwhelming launch. If the leak is accurate, this is the first evidence that the next-gen upgrades are still on the table.
Of course, gamers should be careful before jumping to believe every reported leak. The post provides a title and concept ID number and a link to the game’s key art. However, nothing about the image specifically ties it to the PlayStation 5 update. So while the leak may be accurate, fans should still balance their excitement with an appropriate amount of caution.
