The upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games will mark nine generations of Pokemon games. While there have been numerous Pokemon games released over the years, many fans still have a soft spot in their hearts for the originals. The Generation 1 Pokemon remain some of the most popular that the franchise has produced, and so it's no surprise that there's still plenty of fan art made in their honor to this day.
One fan artist recently re-imagined the Generation 1 starter Pokemon by giving them Halloween-themed makeovers. Reddit user scrazyone1 shared their creation to the Pokemon subreddit, showing skeleton versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu. While Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle were the starters in Pokemon Red and Blue, Pikachu was the sole starter Pokemon in Pokemon Yellow.

These Pokemon Halloween designs were well-received by fans, with the post earning nearly 2,000 upvotes at the time of this writing. It seems many are impressed with the Halloween versions of the Generation 1 starter Pokemon, particularly Pikachu's yellow and black color scheme and Bulbasaur's pumpkin. It's impressive work, but it's not the first time that scrazyone1 has re-imagined Generation 1 Pokemon.
Some of scrazyone1's other work has seen the artist create Venom versions of Pokemon, showing what various Pokemon would look like if they were paired with the Venom symbiote of Marvel Comics fame. In one previous post, scrazyone1 created a Venom version of Pikachu, for example. So Pikachu fans can not only see the Halloween version of the Pokemon in this post, but also what Pikachu would look like as Venom.
