A trailer for Overdose, a new horror game from developer Hideo Kojima, has reportedly been leaked online. The gaming icon is well-known for creating the Metal Gear stealth franchise along with 2019's post-apocalyptic postman simulator Death Stranding. A Hideo Kojima horror game has been a long time coming, and Overdose seems to finally be bringing that concept to life.
Hideo Kojima's classic title Metal Gear, released in 1987, propelled the Japanese game designer into stardom. Putting players in the boots of special operative Solid Snake, the classic MSX2 title is considered by many to be the first true stealth video game. Metal Gear spawned a long line of sequels, with Kojima personally helming the franchise until 2015's Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. After the open-world title's release Kojima Productions broke away from publisher Konami and went independent, paving the way for 2019's Death Stranding. The next Hideo Kojima game will be experimental, according to the man himself, and Overdose seems to deliver on that promise.
