Kojima Productions Assures Fans It's Still Working With Sony Amid Microsoft Partnership
Kojima Productions clarified the studio "continues to have a very good partnership with PlayStation as well," despite announcing a new Xbox console exclusive during Microsoft's stream last night.
Hideo Kojima appeared during the recent Xbox & Bethesda showcase to announce that his studio has partnered with Microsoft to produce a new never-before-seen type of game. According to Kojima, the upcoming title will utilize the publisher's cloud-based technology for some unspecified features. Such an announcement made many PlayStation fans worry that Kojima Productions will no longer maintain close working relations with Sony and that the studio's future projects won't launch for PS5. Well, it seems these concerns are not justified.

The developer commented on the subject, confirming that Kojima Productions remains an independent creative studio, one that will "explore various possibilities with games, movies, and music through platforms that evolve with time and technology." Earlier, Hideo Kojima already announced his studio is working on an anime, which could be in the form of a film.
"Please be assured that we continue to have a very good partnership with PlayStation as well," the message above reads.
As for the games in development at Kojima Productions at least two of them are currently expected, although none have been officially announced. Earlier this month, insider Tom Henderson revealed that Death Stranding actress Margaret Qualley is starring in the upcoming horror game known as Overdose.
