Big Brother 10 winner and BB14 runner-up Dan Gheesling has revealed that he was almost cast on BB6 years prior to his official reality TV debut. Viewers got to know Dan on BB10 as a 24-year-old Catholic school teacher from Dearborn, Michigan. In week one, Dan made the mistake of aligning himself with Brian Hart, who was the first evicted houseguest of the season. As a result, Dan spent the rest of the season playing catch-up in terms of alliances and strategy.
After winning BB10 by a unanimous jury vote of 7-0, Dan came back to the franchise on Big Brother 14. There was a huge target behind his back, but Dan somehow aligned himself with the Quack Pack and made it all the way to the final three. When Ian Terry won the final Head of Household of the season, he courageously took Dan to the end. Ultimately, the jury voted for Ian to win.

With that said, Dan's Big Brother history was almost very different if he had been cast on the show a few years earlier. This week, Dan shared a tweet showing the letters he received from production after applying to be on Survivor and on Big Brother 6 back in 2005, which was four years prior to his casting on BB10. If Dan had been cast in season 6, he would've been in a house with iconic houseguests such as Janelle Pierzina, Howie Gordon, James Rhine, and Kaysar Ridha, to name a few. Dan would've also have had to pick between the two dominant alliances in the house: the Friendship or the Sovereign Six.

The domino effect doesn't stop there. If Dan played BB6 as well as he played BB10, there is no doubt he would've been brought back to compete on Big Brother 7: All-Stars
