Big Brother Canada season 10 has released profiles of the 16 houseguests competing for $100,000 and additional prizes. Viewers tuning into the finale of Celebrity Big Brother season 3 on February 23 got a sneak peek at some contestants during a commercial break, with the full cast list revealed after Meisha Tate, Todrick Hall and Cynthia Bailey left the house. As one of the more popular international versions of Big Brother, BBCAN has been airing since 2013 after a slight hiatus in between seasons 5 and 6. Like the U.S. version, live feeds follow the houseguests 24/7 as they compete for Head of Household and the Power of Veto; several former houseguests returned for a second shot on BBCAN 5, while BBCAN 4 members Nikki Grahame and Tim Dormer previously starred on Big Brother UK and Big Brother Australia, respectively.
Big Brother Canada season 10 was announced last summer; the news came shortly after Tychon Carter-Newman became the first Black houseguest to win with BBCAN 9. Like America's Big Brother, there have been several questionable casting choices that executive producer and host Arisa Cox has strived to improve. Jamar Lee and Kyle Rozendal, for example, were removed from BBCAN 8 justbefore the season ended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Global cast 22-year-old Ethan Quince for BBCAN 9 the following year before quickly replacing him after sexual and racial allegations surfaced. Other memorable contestants include BBCAN 1's Tom Plan, who exposed Alec Beall, and BBCAN 2's Ika Wong, who shredded the houseguest's letters from home for $5,000.
