Best known for her role as Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls, the sequel The Golden Palace, and spinoff Empty Nest, White has also made appearances on hit shows like Malcolm in the Middle, That '70s Show, The Bold and the Beautiful, Bones, and others over the years.
White passed away on December 31, 2021, just before her milestone 100th birthday. The actress led a celebrated career, amassing over 100 acting credits and five Primetime Emmys, a Daytime Emmy, a Grammy Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1995 and even received the distinction of honorary Mayor of Hollywood that same year. After a stroke on Christmas Day, White passed in her sleep at her home in Los Angeles.

Betty White's assistant, Kiersten, recently shared a new photo on Facebook of the Golden Girl taken on December 20, 2021, 11 days before her untimely passing. The 99-year-old is donning a vibrant green top and white pants, smiling toward the camera in her classic red lipstick. Kiersten writes, "I believe it's one of the last photos of her," and wanted to share the photo on this "special day," referring to what would have been White's 100th birthday (January 17).
