Following the series finale on August 15, a ton of props and costumes from Better Call Saul (and Breaking Bad) will be headed to auction. Created by Vince Gilligan, the Breaking Bad universe began in 2008 and centered around Bryan Cranston's Walter White, a dispirited high school chemistry teacher recently diagnosed with lung cancer who partners with his former student, Aaron Paul's Jesse Pinkman, to produce crystal meth. The series soon expands to explore the lives of others in Albuquerque's criminal underworld, including drug kingpin and fast-food chain owner Gustavo Fring and his right-hand man Mike Ehrmantraut.
Premiered in 2015, Better Call Saul follows the evolution of Bob Odenkirk's Slippin’ Jimmy’ McGill into the two-bit bus-bench lawyer audiences came to know and love from Breaking Bad. The prequel series intertwines backstories for other returning characters like Gus, Mike, and Hector Salamanca, while also introducing new ones like Kim Wexler, Chuck McGill, Howard Hamlin, Nacho Varga, and Lalo Salamanca. The prequel series has now seen the return of Walt and Jesse and is just episodes away from finishing its successful 6-season run.
