BenQ Announces New 4K Projector Lineup Launch Prices: HT 4550i, HT 3560, TK 860i and V5000i
BenQ teased their upcoming flagship HT 4550i 4LED 4k projector at CES 2023 earlier this year and they have just revealed the tentative launch details plus a choice few morsels of information. The company is not only launching brand new models but also refreshing their aging mainstream king: the HT 3550.
The BenQ HT 4550 4K projector boasts a massive 3200 lumens of light output and a 17.9 ms input lag at 1080p @ 60 Hz. The company also boasted that the projector will have a long lasting 4LED light source. The BenQ HT 4550 can match 100% of the DCI P3 color gamut which should be using a WCG filter (the resulting lumen count after the filter is applied should be very much in the range of cinematic home projectors). The launch page for the HT 4550i is also up and features their new HDR-PRO technology which has the exciting new feature they teased last time: Local Contrast Enhancement (across 1000+ zones).
The company is also launching the HT 3560, which appears to be mostly identical to the HT 3550 but with the inclusion of Dynamic Black and some other software-based features.
The TK 860i is also a similar affair which is likely replacing their older TK model (designed more for sports/ambient light use rather than a dedicated home theater).
Perhaps most interestingly for TV users, the company is also launching their V5000i along with an ALR screen. This is a UST (ultra short throw) TV replacement projector that the company is shipping with an UST-ALR screen for $3499. Depending on the performance of this projector, it could be quite the deal as it goes up against the likes of the Formovie 4K UST projector and the LG HU 715Q 4K UST projectors which retail for $3499 and $2999 respectively but without an ALR screen.
