Ben Affleck is done with Batman at this time, but it appears Warner Bros. wants to keep their options open. According to a new rumor, The Flash film is going to keep the door open for Affleck's Dark Knight to return and set up a Crisis on Infinite Earths film.
Batman was played by Affleck in the DC Extended Universe, and some people want to see him return because his portrayal was a favorite of many viewers and fans alike. This version was brutal, aggressive, scary, jaded and lost his rule on not killing any criminals. This recent news about the work started by Zack Snyder not being written out of continuity means fans would still get the same storylines that they enjoyed.

Noted leaker KC Walsh, who has provided information that turned out to be accurate in the past, noted that The Flash sets up a Crisis on Infinite Earths film with a scene that involves Affleck's Batman. Of course, Walsh makes sure to note that Affleck is still «very much done» with the DC Extended Universe. However, it appears this supposed scene inThe Flash is merely meant to establish that Affleck's Batman and other characters from the Snyderverse aren't going to be erased by the events of the Scarlet Speedster's new film, and the door is being left open for this version of the Caped Crusader to return if possible.
Henry Cavill's time as Superman is uncertain, Affleck is nowhere to be found in the Batgirl movie and Ezra Miller is now in the spotlight for his recent actions during his time on vacation. DC also doesn't keep secrets as well as Marvel Studios does. Marvel Studios has a lot of leaks, but it seems like DC's come out much earlier, before the films even get their first trailer.
