Peacock’s Below Deck Down Under is the hit new franchise of its original show, Below Deck, and fans can already see the tension brewing between Captain Jason Chambers and his bosun Jamie Sayed. Captain Jason first made waves when Below Deck fans found out he was going to be at the helm of the megayacht Thalassa. Jason is the youngest captain so far to star in the Below Deck franchise, and fans, along with the female crew, were enamored by his striking good looks. The crew quickly saw that no job was too small for Jason, and he was willing to step in whenever his staff needed help..
As a former cop, lifeguard, and soldier, Jamie has a lot of titles under his belt, but this season on Below Deck Down Under was his first time as a bosun. New Below Deck member Captain Jason tried to take Jamie under his wing and guide him to be the best leader possible, but the two kept clashing over differing management styles. Jamie tried to lead his team in an authoritative manner, which rubbed some of his deck crew the wrong way. Jason felt like Jamie wasn’t managing his team well and got frustrated when simple tasks either got overlooked or took too long.

Jamie was admittedly handling a pretty green crew. Deckhand Brittini Burton was the least experienced crew member, and while she was hard-working, she had to learn a lot on the job. In fact, Jamie had to admonish Brittini when she stepped over an active anchor chain and told her that she could have severed her leg if it got caught while the chain was rolling. Jamie also had to deal with his other deckhand Benny Crawley, who had more experience but showed insubordination and panicked while handling the anchor
