To the chagrin of many a player, Battlefield 2042 launched in a dismal state late last year. Users across all platforms found themselves battling frame rate hiccups, graphical glitches, and connection-related issues. The latter especially proved problematic for the military shooter, given that it exclusively boasts multiplayer-based content.
Electronic Arts executives like CEO Andrew Wilson had long teased Battlefield 2042 as the franchise's most ambitious entry, telling investors in financial earnings calls that DICE's newest adventure would set the bar high. Despite a few disappointing nuggets of information, such as the absence of a single-player campaign, many believed the new Battlefield would indeed mark a high point for the long-running FPS brand. Its public beta and early access periods quickly dashed these hopes, however. Since launch, the embattled Battlefield 2042 has continuously lost players, with many option to move on in the wake of miscommunication between the developers and player community. Now yet another hiccup plagues the multiplayer title.

Today, February 24, the Battlefield Direct Communication Twitter account acknowledged that some users had trouble connecting with Battlefield 2042's multiplayer servers.
