The only thing in the DC Universe more terrifying than one Joker is three of them and it looks like Batman will have to deal with a trifecta in the upcoming Failsafe story arc coming from Chip Zdarsky and Jorge Jiménez. This wouldn't be the first time that Batman faced off with a trio of Jokers, either. It all began during Justice League's Darkseid War arc, where Batman asks the all-knowing Mobius Chair what The Joker's real name could be, only to be told that always secretly were three Jokers instead of one committing Gotham's harshest offenses.
Batman wouldn't get any real answers to this riddle until he encounters the Three Jokers in Geoff Johns, Jason Fabok, and Brad Anderson's limited series for DC's Black Label imprint. Each Joker is addressed affectionately and respectively as follows: The Criminal (representing the character's appearances during Batman's Golden Age), The Clown (who kills Jason Todd in Death in the Family), and The Comedian (who shoots Barbara Gordon in The Killing Joke).

This limited series was never part of official DC canon, but it seems as though three Jokers will finally enter canon during Chip Zdarsky's upcoming run on Batman. Batman #125 by Zdarsky and Jiménez will mark Zdarsky's official beginnings as the head writer for Batman. To mark the occasion whilst teasing his debut story arc, Failsafe, DC released a new trailer via Twitter that, among many interesting visuals, showcases three Jokers standing tall atop a pile of bodies. Batman #125 drops on July 5th, 2022.
