Baldur's Gate 3 has a whole bunch of options for you to create the perfect adventurer of your dreams. It also fills the world with interesting companions for you to fill out your team with, but there are some folk out there who will naturally prefer playing as the lone wanderer type. Not everyone is interested in romancing Shadowheart or getting into wacky japes with Astarion, but Baldur's Gate 3 doesn't give you the option to be unsociable and expects you to party up to take on its toughest tasks.
Whenever a game doesn't cater to a particular group of players, modders will gladly step in and remedy the problem. First shared by PCGamer, a creator called Mordread256 has come up with their own take on the "Lone Wolf" perk that is included in previous Larian Studios titles such as Divinity: Original Sin 2, and allows you to take on the campaign of Baldur's Gate 3 on your own or with a single buddy.

It does this by altering a few things with the base game, most notably the amount of experience that you get from completing quests and combat. You'll earn double the amount you usually would, essentially making sure that you're ridiculously overlevelled for whichever area you find yourself in so you're not completely obliterated by a random pack of enemies.
In order to compensate for this massive increase in experience, this mod also raises the level cap from Level 12 to Level 20. However, be aware that you will need to multiclass and not exceed Level 12 in any of your classes, otherwise the game will bug out and presumably crash.
