You’ll meet many folks on your travels across Faerûn — some good, some evil and some who are perhaps the sort who would play Wonderwall at a party. This is where Alfira might fit in (depending on your tastes), and so to best navigate her story we have our Baldur's Gate 3 Alfira guide — with all encounters with the bard explained, including how to save Alfira from the Dark urge.

There are a number of ways it can all go down, with some being more disturbing than others, depending on the origin story you chose. If you play your cards right, you might just be able to learn an instrument yourself, but you need to be careful how you do it because otherwise, you’ll end up being the type of busker a town's community group page will lament on the daily.

There are tunes to be played and chords to be strummed so we shan’t keep you any longer, read on to find out just what’s in store for Alfira.

Alfira is located just east of the Druid’s Grove, on a dirt track leading to a lookout point that overlooks the sea.

Before talking to Alfira, we cannot recommend enough that you use Speak with Animals to listen to what the squirrels in front of her have to say. We won’t spoil it, but it’s very funny.

Alfira is trying to write a song but can’t quite figure out what to do. After talking with her, you will eventually be able to offer a lending hand to her by going for the option “Let me see if I can help”, but make sure to save before the next section as it’s quite a difficult Performance Check.

You’ll be presented with three options after this:

You can either go for the first option, where Alfira will tell you about her old teacher. From here, you can encourage her to keep going and a cutscene will play out with her performing the song.
