The DeLorean Motor Company shared a new image of the «next generation» car, and teased that it will be properly revealed on August 18, 2022. This is a concept car, so don't expect to be able to buy one. DMC will officially unveil the vehicle at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance event.

DMC launched the first edition of the DeLorean in 1981, and it was popularized in the 1985 Robert Zemeckis movie Back to the Future. Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) used the vehicle to travel through time, which was achievable through a Flux Capacitor when the car reached 88mph.
The DeLorean is known for its unique gull-wing doors, and it'll be interesting to see the full design of the new electric vehicle version when it's shown off later this year.
In 2017, a Back to the Future fan drove their DeLorean 88mph, but failed to travel through time. He did, however, earn a $400 speeding ticket.
